This Lotus Esprit V8 Final production run is an ultra-low mileage example of the modern classic sports car wearing a unique colour scheme, and is one off opportunity to get one of the last Esprits ever made. Making it a sound investment. The owner of the business has had the car and due to lack of use is now regretfully selling it.It is powered by a 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing up to 350bhp, and driving the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. The car is confirmed by Lotus to be one of the last UK cars and comes with the certificate of Provenance. It left the production line on the 14th February 2003 and was sold by Murray motors on the March 2003.This Esprit is finished in the unique combination of Cobalt Blue metallic over a twin tone black and blue seats with matching door cards. It rides on a set of 17-inch front and 18-inch rear silver eight twin-spoke alloy wheels housing black brake callipers and drilled discs. The car will be supplied with its handbooks, photos, a selection of invoices and some correspondence with Lotus confirming the cars original specification and provenance. The metallic paintwork is noted by the seller as being in generally excellent condition, in line with the low indicated mileage. It does have the odd sign of a stone chipping and has possibly had the front end painted in the past. We have no detail on this. Light scuffing on the front bumper lower black valance. Inside, the cabin presents well, with slight wear on the drivers seat upper outer bolster. There is some light creasing elsewhere, and minor scuffing on the drivers sill, but with no major wear. The seller is not aware of any electrical or mechanical faults, and they state that there are no warning lights showing on the dashboard. This car drives exceptionally and the only point our owner has noted when driving it is the usual clutch judder on slow take off. Which is normal but may benefit from a new clutch in the future as we think it has had an upgraded performance clutch fitted. It does not slip or malfunction.
