Julys New Staff Members

The team at Just Audi VW has gained a few new starters. I, Liz Warner, being one of them and I have been handed the task of introducing everyone to our fanbase. Hopefully, you'll recognise some new faces from now on when you come to our showroom. I thought I would begin with myself to get the ball rolling:

I have recently relocated from Peterborough to rural Lincoln, which I am enjoying very much. I work alongside the service team at Just Audi VW, for those of you who have met me already. There may be some of you that I've given a lift to throughout Lincoln. As a newbie to the area my knowledge and navigation skills around the area isn't too good, so bear with me if I use you as a Live-Action Sat Nav. I was a Visual Merchandiser for many years since leaving school in 2004. Before I moved to Lincoln I backpacked America. I had the most amazing time there with some great life experiences for me including driving a Mustang down the West Coast. I'm really into my music and movies, especially comedies, I find going to Kinema in the Woods in a village of Woodhall Spa, Lincoln is the best place to catch a new film, you can't beat an old school cinema that plays the organ in the intermission.

While writing this article I took some time to go around the new starters and see what they would share with me about themselves. My opinion is you can always some up someone's sense of humour when you find out what their favourite comedy movie is. This was my chance to get to know them a little better.

Firstly, we have a new Salesman called Sam, he is our tall, dark-haired Mercedes-Benz Specialist and such a character. Sam has done amazing since he first started with us at Just Audi VW. Since starting, Sam's had no challenge in settling in and has already started building a good reputation, he's sold 8 cars in his first week and helped many more customers!

When Sam isn't working he is a real family man and loves spending time with his partner Lauren and his children. He is a huge football fan, supporting Manchester United, and loves watching his boys play football. Sam loves listening to music so I thought I would ask 'if he could have a theme tune that summed up his life what would it be?' He answered, 'Don't stop me now by Queen', clearly from his first week here with us, there is no stopping him as he's proven he's an asset to the team. As he seems a bit of a joker in the team, I wondered what his favourite comedy would be, he answered Step Brothers, this answer matches his sense of humour. Even though Sam is bubbly and jokey at work, he did admit that he does have some guilty old man pleasures and didn't want to share, perhaps when you come in and meet Sam yourself, try and get these out of him and then let me know.

We also have 3 other new starters that work more behind the scenes. Tom and Ollie have both joined us to do there Automotive Technician Apprenticeships and then there's Hazel who keeps Just Audi VW spic and span and fresh for all our customers.

When speaking to Tom, I found out he loves tinkering with cars. In fact, I asked him if he does this in his spare time, he actually owns a 1975 Austin Mini which he loves working on so this job suits him to the ground. He loves going on holiday and his favourite place he has visited was Florida (I can't say I am not a tad jealous). When asking him about his favourite comedy, he replied 'Superbad'!  For those of you who have seen this film, I think we all knew someone just like McLovin when we were at school. He did mention he is also a firm supporter of Lincoln City and attends many of their games, keeping his fingers crossed for more wins.

Now onto our next Automotive Technician, Ollie. In his spare time, he likes to go out and socialise with friends and family. A big supporter of Stoke City and with his favourite comedy being Ace Venture: Pet Detective, it does make me wonder if he can do some Jim Carey impressions, it is my mission to find out.

Now onto our lovely Hazel, she is a big family person, married with 5 wonderful children she loves to spend as much time with them as possible including going on vacations together. None of us here knows how Hazel does it while working at Just Audi VW she also works at one of the local primary schools as a dinner lady. After dealing with all those children, I wonder if she feels like she gets a break when she's here; or maybe not as we are all a bunch of big kids.

Now you've met the new members of the team we hope that we can see you soon in the showroom, if your not looking for a new car or work to be done on yours, don't be a stranger feel free to pop in for a chat.
